AfriCana Village & Museum Cultural Fundraiser Brunch Sunday August 31st, 2008
Support AfriCana Village & Museum Grand VISION on the Waterfront.
Purpose:
The City of Toronto Economic Development in association with the Province of Ontario Ministry of Tourism have requested that AfriCana Village demonstrate community support by raising $25K from community- based events, which will be matched by the above government agencies to develop a pre-feasibility study, based on a positive outcome of pre-feasibility study, further matching funds will be made available for a full AfriCana Village feasibility /master plan development study. Show your support for AfriCana Village by supporting the AfriCana Village Vision that will create 2,000 cultural jobs targeting the African Canadian community in the GTA.
AfriCana Village Fundraiser is a cultural showcase extravaganza brunch in support of our proposed African/Caribbean-Canadian Heritage Tourism / Entertainment Destination on the Waterfront.
AfriCana Village will create:
• 2,000 cultural jobs
• Economic engine
• Wealth generator
• Pride of ownership
• Tax base for the city
Contribution: $50.00 per ticket ( delicious Caribbean buffet brunch included)
