If I give you my soul what would you do with it?

If I give you my heart, can you bear its heavy weight?

If I say leap in bounds, will you leap in my direction?

If I say I will throw myself into the air will you willingly break my fall?

If I say I love you will you love me back?

If I say I think about you every day do you believe me?

If I say I want this relationship to be forever, would you agree to this union?

There is no time like the one we will make for ourselves

And there is no space until we make one for ourselves.

So, if I reach out to you will you reach to touch me too?

Morning Duties Sleep has left my eyes but the dawn has not arrived The moon has said its good bye but the dew lingers behind Animals wake up in the cold and silent night The wild wind bellows amongst the trees And time we hear passing with the faint smell of ashes Wake up to the drizzling of the rain Sweep with the crackling of fire wood To the sound of bleating goats cassava leaves are to be fed In the wake of dawn, a basket is set for the farm up the hill.
